This collection was created in homage to Amedeo Modigliani (1884-1920), one of the greatest Italian artists who became a legend thanks to his bohemian nonconformity that characterized him for all his life until his sudden passing at the early age of 36. Amadeo Modigliani (1884-1920) was a young iconoclastic artist from Livorno and Paris, the protégé of Micheli, and the rival to Picasso. His work was only exhibited once during his lifetime, with most of his stunning paintings and drawings bartered for food or drink, and scattered through early-twentieth-century Paris.
Modigliani was a lover of women. His paintings depict women as elongated, often statuesque figures. For this collection, Pierangelo has created a collage of these beautiful elongated women in tribute to this short-lived but prolific Italian genius.
